Il est aussi titulaire d\u2019un PhD (1987) en Sciences et Technologies des Aliments de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval de Qu\u00e9bec.<br \/>\nAncien chercheur, puis Directeur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019Institut de Technologie Alimentaire (1981-1986), il a \u00e9t\u00e9 Professeur associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (UQAM) et \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laval, avant d\u2019\u00eatre Directeur Ex\u00e9cutif Adjoint puis Directeur Ex\u00e9cutif du Centre R\u00e9gional Africain de Technologie (CRAT) jusqu\u2019en octobre 2009.<br \/>\nCertifi\u00e9 en Leadership et Commandement de l\u2019ESGE (devenue CESAG), Dr Kane a \u00e9t\u00e9 distingu\u00e9 par l\u2019Universit\u00e9 des Nations Unies pour l\u2019Alimentation et la Nutrition, ainsi que dans les Ordres Nationaux du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal : Palmes Acad\u00e9miques, M\u00e9rite et Lion (Chevalier, Officier, Commandeur et Grand Officier).<br \/>\nAuteur de cinq ouvrages collectifs et de plus de soixante-dix publications ou communications internationales, il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 de nombreuses r\u00e9flexions sur l\u2019innovation technologique, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle et le d\u00e9veloppement durable. En tant que consultant de : UNESCO, CEA, ACTS, etc. Dr Kane a \u00e9labor\u00e9 des documents de politiques nationales de recherche, Science, Technologie et Innovation (RCA, Mali, S\u00e9n\u00e9gal).
